SEGA have today released the Nomadic Tribes Culture Pack for stratergy game Total War Rome II, and while it is supposed to be priced at $8 anyone who downloads it this week will get it for free.
The DLC Pack itself will contain new playable factions such as the Royal Scythians, Roxolani, and Massagetae. Content aside it seems that this DLC Pack is being offered by way of apology for the games ‘poor’ launch week as Creative Assembly studio director Mike Simpson explains:
“We’ve had more gamers playing Rome II, and for longer, in its first month than any other Total War to date. We are going to continue to work on gameplay feature balancing with our community who have been hugely helpful in feeding back on the game. Offering this DLC for free for the first week it’s on sale is a celebration and a small thank you to them for helping us make this the biggest TW yet.”
Basically from now until the 29th October 2013 you can download the Nomadic Tribes Culture DLC Pack for FREE, after which the DLC Content will cost you $7.99 / £5.99, so even if you do not own the game it’s probably best to download it, just in case. Both the DLC Content and the full game are now available to purchase from steam.
