The Forza Motorsport 5 Bundle was very limited stock, all of which has now been allocated (i.e. it’s sold out), and in order to get the Forza 5 Xbox One Bundle you would have to pre-order the console, even if you had already pre-ordered an Xbox One to begin with. The Fifa 14 bundle has also had its Day One allocation filled from most retailers.
In another “U-Turn” move, Microsoft have today confirmed that customers purchasing an Xbox One Day One Edition can now choose either FIFA 14 or Forza Motorsport 5 as the game to be included with their console.
Previously Microsoft announced a new partnership with EA, with it securing FIFA 14 as a ‘Day One Bundle’ (in addition to Ultimate Team) and while everyone welcomed the idea of a ‘free’ game, a lot were annoyed that it had to be the football game. As with all recent announcements, Microsoft listened and have now changed it so Xbox One Day One Edition customers can now either choose to have Forza Motorsport 5 (which a lot of Xbox One fans were asking for, me included) or FIFA 14, depending if stock is still available.
Whichever option you choose the game will be included as a digital download code inside the box, either way its nice to see Microsoft listening and presenting this option. Furthermore it turns out if you have already pre-ordered the console then you will automatically receive the FIFA 14, and if you want the Forza 5 bundle you’ll have to pre-order it again, which is abit of a bummer with stock already low on both bundles.
Xbox One Day One Edition Consoles are still available to pre-order from selected retailers (such as Amazon UK, GAME and ShopTo) with the console itself launching on the 22nd November 2013.
