Mobile Indie Development Studio B27 Opens Japan Subsidiary and Hires Kaz Takeshita as General Manager


Indie development and publishing studio Balloon 27 (B27) have today announced the opening of B27 Japan, a subsidiary studio based in Tokyo that will work with mobile publishing and development partners in the Asian Pacific territories.

Following this announcement of the studio’s opening, B27 confirmed that the B27 Japan Studio will led by General Manager and games industry veteran Kaz Takeshita, who has previously held executive management positions at Ignition Entertainment, Acclaim, Sammy and SNK.

“We welcome Kaz to the B27 family and are excited to announce the opening of B27 in Tokyo”, said Ajay Chadha, Founder of B27, “Kaz has a rich heritage in the Japanese games market and we look forward to him growing B27 in the Asian Pacific region”.
Kaz Takeshita previous experience includes being the previous General Manager of Ignition Entertainment, where he managed local development teams on the “El Shaddai” and “Dragon’s Crown” franchises and he has previously held leading development executive positions as General Manager of the Japanese subsidiary of Acclaim Entertainment Inc., Managing Director of Sammy Europe and Head of European Sales and Marketing SNK Europe.
