Basically the software update will add online cross-region functionality, allowing European and North American gamers to play together online in up to four-player battles. Additionally Monster Hunters will also be able to play the game using just the Wii U GamePad without the need for a TV screen as the software update makes the title compatible with off-TV play.
Both features are ‘currently’ unavailable until the update has been applied, so its highly recomended that players update the game when it becomes available later in the month.
Capcom will be continuing to support Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for several months after release with additional free of charge downloadable quests for both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of the game, with the first quest available at launch.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate will be released onto the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U on the 22nd March 2013, the game will also be available to download digitally from the eShop.
