Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Now Available for iOS Devices, Delayed for Android Devices

Rockstar Games are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City with Style, as today they have released the iconic PS2 (and PC) Classic onto the iOS platform.

This 10th Anniversary Edition of the game features ‘everything’ we loved about the original, such as the game’s soundtrack and ‘colourful characters’, as well as some new additions like Achievements, Touch-Screen Controls and smoother visuals.

While Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is available on the iTunes App Store, it was also scheduled for release on the Google Play Store, however after several hours of the game being available Rockstar Games ‘pulled’ the game from the marketplace and issued a statement regarding the ‘disappearence’ of the game:

“We’re aware that some users have attempted to download Vice City: 10th Anniversary Edition from the Google Play Store and have experienced validation errors.

Just to be clear: the game is not available for Android devices just yet, and if you’re seeing it listed on the Store then this is an error, and you shouldn’t attempt to download it. We’ll keep you up to date and let you know as soon as the game is live and available to purchase.”

For now though, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is only available to buy from the iTunes App Store for £2.99 / $4.99, while the Android Version will most likely be released within the next few weeks.
