During last night’s (this mornings) E3 Media Briefing Ubisoft confirmed that an Assassin’s Creed game was indeed heading to the PS Vita later in the near future. That game in question is Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and features a brand new ‘main character’ named Aveline.
According to the Official Playstation Europe Blog, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation features Aveline as the new ‘assassin’ and the game takes place in the rich, varied and vibrant environments of eighteenth-century Louisiana.
During 1765, Aveline stands directly in the path of Spanish forces seeking to overrun and take Louisiana while the rest of the coastal colonies are occupied with the American Revolution. Aveline is a uniquely effective assassin, employing tactics from her mixed French and African lineage including machete, poison-dart blowpipe and duelling pistols.
In addition the game’s announcement a trailer was released giving players a glimpse at what they can expect from Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation on the PS Vita.
